NOTES OF INSPIRATION

Proverbs 17:22(Amp): “A happy heart is a good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries the bones.”

One of my personal favorite sayings is, “Find a way to be happy”.  This means to look for positive aspects in all situations including the negative situations.  There are research studies that validate the wonderful effects of keeping one’s emotional health in a “happy gear”.  If you can manage to maintain a happy heart and a cheerful mind, the opportunity for healing in the mind, body and soul is increased.  However, if you let life and its challenges break you down mentally, spiritually, and emotionally you might invite illness and devastation to your being. When I become distraught about concerns in my life, I read the bible and pray. After that I go home where there is peace and tranquility and I spend time doing things that relax me.  Turning off distractions such as the cell phone, computer, television and other electronics helps me to gather my thoughts in quiet time. It works wonders and brings a refreshing energy to my mind, spirit and body. Make the effort today to put your heart in gear for happiness and healing. The choice is all yours.

“For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods.” Psalm 95:3

The Lord God is King and above all things, all gods, all situations, all everything. Nothing is bigger than God!

“Sing to the Lord, you saints of  his; praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment,but his favor lasts a lifetime.” Psalm 30:4-5a

One of the attributes that I love about God is his ability to feel emotion. We are made in his image and having emotions is part of our make up as well. He is a just God and a very loving God. When there is injustice or when something offends him, he has the ability to become angered. However, it does pass away.  When he favors others, his favor lasts a lifetime. I am not interested in offending the Lord or disobeying him. But I am interested in being favored by him.  Be encouraged today and sing unto the Lord and praise his name. His anger only lasts a moment and his favor lasts a lifetime. Allow him to come into your life and embrace his favor.

We reflect today and appreciate those who have lost their lives in our nation’s service. May they all rest in peace and may we not take for granted the meaning and significance of their sacrifices. We also appreciate those who have served and who are still serving. Thank you.

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies…” Psalm 23:5a

You can rest assured today that the divine favor that you have on you is uncontestable. The Lord will prepare a table before you in the presence of your haters. That means that right in the faces of your enemies the Lord will show you off with massive blessings and favor and there is nothing that your haters can do about it. They will be forced to watch. Are you ready?

“O Lord, when you favored me, you made my mountain stand firm…” Psalm 30:7a

Be encouraged today and know that favor is available from the Lord. He is able to sustain you even in the midst of trials and challanges. Depend on the strong arm of the Lord to heal you and to bring you into his favor. Take comfort in knowing that your mountain of challenges are just temporary and you can overcome them all with the favor of God.

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18 NIV

If you already understand the word of the Lord in that he died for our sins so that we may be redeemed, then you can live and breathe his power and can be saved. However, if you do not understand this signficance it may mean nothing to you and at the same time it may be a sign that you are perishing and need to be rescued. The message of the cross does not need your approval or permission.  The message of the cross is permanent and powerful.

“Turn, O Lord, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love.” Psalm 6:4

You can depend upon the Lord to deliver and save you from the concerns that you have about your life. He loves you and is available to help you. He loves you deeply and is waiting for you to petition him. He has delivered and saved me from so many situations and I am eternally grateful to him for all that he has done. He can do the same for you. His love is unfailing.

“There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord” Proverbs 21:30

Be encouraged today and know that if you put your life into the hands of the Lord, he will prevail on your behalf. If you are concerned about situations that make you feel uncomfortable, especially if they are created by the hands of others, then rest assure that no wisdom, insight or plan will ever succeed against the Lord. Trust the Lord to work out your life and ask him to guide you onto the right path for your life. God does what he wants and when he wants. Trust in what he wants for your life.

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”  John 14:27 

Be encouraged today to walk in the peace of the Lord. He is available to give you a peace that money, things, people and situations in this world cannot give you. Take the concerns that you have on your heart to the Lord and allow him to soothe the issues that beset or trouble you. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid. He is available and able to bring serenity to your heart and to your life.
