Unload the Baggage

“Just want to say that it is refreshing to see you matriculating in the purpose and destiny that God has instilled in you and I am so encouraged to do the same as He is revealing things about me that I have never known as well as healing me from all my past issues that I never knew was hindering me in the spirit. I am truly breaking free. It is so amazing when I see his fingerprints on people displaying his glorious handiwork.” -Shakara Flint Robinson

This inspirational comment was made by one of my friends who is a well respected business woman and awesome minister at her church.  She is also a professional and well respected business owner. Shakara brought up something that I have overlooked for years.  She said this about her life, “He is revealing things about me that I have never known as well as healing me from all my past issues that I never knew was hindering me in the spirit.”

What a profound revelation. In Psalms 44:21 it reads, “…for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.”  In retrospect these issues are baggage that needs to be unloaded from the heart. If God knows the secrets of the heart, then He can reveal to us what is in our hearts, therefore we can be healed. Shakara also said that God is healing her from her past issues that she never knew was hindering her in the spirit. Sometimes as Christians we think that we can go along and be used by God and blessed by Him, while we are yet overlooking our issues that need to be healed. But we need to be healed so that we can move forward freely. As Shakara so eloquently put it, “I am truly breaking free.” And I think breaking free is the key to it all. If we allow God to reveal the secrets of our hearts, we can address each and every issue, get healed and delivered from them all, and proceed forward in the purpose and blessings of God.  That means we have unloaded our baggage and we are free to go forward in success.

Thank you for helping all of us today Shakara!!! God bless you!
