“Do not let our hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms: if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take your to be with me that you may also be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” John 14: 1-4
This scripture is very popular and often read at funerals for comfort to the families. But in addition to utilizing this scripture for bereavement it can comfort the soul against the “goings-on” of this world. The scripture is encouraging us to not let our hearts be troubled and to trust in the Lord. When we are finished with all of the issues of this world and we have lived right, there is a place that is already prepared for us and it is majestic, wealthy, and exquisite. Trust God with your worries and cares. Trust him with your challenges, issues and concerns. He is waiting.
