The Buttermilk Kitchen -Atlanta, Georgia

(Repost) I’m in Atlanta this weekend on assignment and for business .  I love visiting Atlanta with all of the sights, sounds, culture, history and beautiful people. My associate suggested that we have lunch at the Buttermilk Kitchen. The Buttermilk Kitchen is a restaurant in Atlanta  that serves delicious down home comfort food from scratch. I love the “country kitchen” feel of the facility. According to Buttermilk Kitchen’s website;

“Buttermilk Kitchen is a breakfast and lunch concept created by chef Suzanne Vizethann. Buttermilk’s mission is to nurture people through food by use of sustainable, local ingredients. A kitchen where most everything is made in-house from scratch, paying tribute to its name, “Buttermilk,” which refers to the liquid utilized after butter was churned; carrying out the philosophy of letting nothing go to waste”

The staff was extremely friendly and attended to our every need. The atmosphere was very relaxed and this is important because the restaurant is located in a busy part of Atlanta. Our lunch today was spectacular!

 I enjoyed the Cornmeal Fried green tomatoes, house made pimento cheese, with thick crunchy applewood bacon on wheat served with house cut fries. My associate had the Meatloaf Burger: White Oak grass-fed beef, smoked mayo, farm greens, organic tomatoes on ciabatta served with house cut fries Delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant for pure, delicious food made from scratch. You will be delighted with both the breakfast and lunch menus.
