“Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence? If I ascend into heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in hell, behold, you are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.” Psalm 139:7-10
I need the Lord everyday of my life. Life is busy and life is fast. I wonder what would happen if we actually had to go find God, get his attention, or wait in line to ask for help. What if he could only handle one task at a time? Almost the whole world of individuals would be in a long line most of their lives. Imagine the number of people who would give up and take their lives because they couldn’t get to God. Imagine the number of people who would die because God had not gotten around to healing their sicknesses yet, or the number of accidents, tragedies, marital break-ups, missed opportunities for work, careers, home ownership or issues that would go awry all because they had not reached his attention. I am so glad that we can pray to God whenever we want to and all at the same time. I wonder how in the world he is able to handle the baby who has colic and the saving of several lives in devastating storms, while handling issues all over the universe simultaneously. I am so glad that he can do it all if we just believe. The word for the day is “Omnipresent”. Where can I go from your Spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence? God is present everywhere.
