“For my thoughts are not your thoughts neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9
It would bother me to no end if our God could only think on our level. Imagine if he could only see as far as we see and what if he was not all-knowing and ever-present. This would cause some problems. Humans would all of a sudden think that they were smarter than God. But aren’t you glad that he is powerful and his thoughts are higher than ours? What a mighty God we serve! His mind supersedes anything that we could ever imagine. He can see the future, create destiny and purpose, bring down our enemies, heal and deliver us and set us up for magnificent blessings through his glory. His ways are not our ways and they are higher than our way of living. A God that can think higher than us and with ways higher than us can provide exuberant help for us. Because of all of this, we can grow. I am so glad that I am not on God’s level. That in itself guarantees my growth.
