Seven weeks ago, I was assigned the position of 12th Grade British Literature ELA Teacher at the high school. I had to step away from my Student Services Support Facilitation position to take on this new challenge. I rushed and spent nights and weekends studying and reading Literature texts and the curriculum map. I felt extremely overwhelmed. However, I am still learning that stepping out of a comfort zone facilitates professional growth. My students are thriving and very happy. I consider myself blessed. Be courageous and step out of your comfort zone. Take on new challenges and keep growing. It is then when self discovery and new accomplishments will render life changing rewards!
