Pink Grapefruit

Pink Himalayan Salt

If you love pink grapefruit like I do, have you ever tried it with pink Himalayan salt sprinkled on top? The taste is amazing and the salt brings out a sweetness in the grapefruit. Pink Himalayan salt is loaded with over 80 trace minerals along with potassium and iron. It is better than table salt for your health and body. Try it! It’s delicious! Here’s to your health and may you and yours live a long life! #PatricesPlace

Lunch in Kentucky

This is a repost throwback. Does anyone remember this?

As I sat looking out of the window during the flight, I have to admit that I was a bit nervous. This was my first time riding in my brother’s airplane. Ben flew Jewel and I from Tennessee to Kentucky for lunch at the Montana Grille for a family business meeting. He is a great pilot!

Activities are best enjoyed with family and the ones that you love. Spend time with family every opportunity that you can. Family is important.

The Parched Oak

If you are ever in Florida down in the Volusia County area, be sure to stop in and enjoy the great food and the ambiance of The Parched Oak Restaurant and Bar. I was treated to lunch and had the most amazing experience. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. This restaurant is rustic with beautiful textures of extravagant woods, fabulous flooring, an amazing bar, and there is outside seating. I chose the “Black N Bleu Burger” which consisted of a Blackened Flame Grilled Burger covered in crispy Bacon, sautĂ©ed mushrooms, onions, bleu cheese atop of arugula, and fried tomato on a Brioche bun with crispy french fries. The Steak Goat Flatbread “stole the show” with grilled steak tips, goat cheese, onions, and roasted red peppers. The appetizer was the best fried green tomatoes that we had ever had, and was crispy and topped with bacon and goat cheese! The beverages, food, atmosphere and vibes are top tier! The Parched Oak is located at 145 N Woodland Blvd, DeLand, FL 32720. Enjoy!

Vacation Getaway and Great Breakfast!

It is Summer vacation time and school is out. As educators, we are happily relaxing and having fun. Most of my friends are traveling and experiencing magnificent adventures. We are on vacation for two months before school starts again and it is absolutely wonderful. My out-of-town vacation adventure this week has been amazing. Numerous activities, laughs and fun are what I needed to regroup. One of the vacation days this week, we went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Cracker Barrel is a country store with a restaurant that serves homestyle cooking. I tried a new dish and I really loved it. Cracker Barrel describes it like this: “Texas-Style Brisket Benny.” This delicious meal is “Tender BBQ beef brisket on our signature buttermilk biscuit cut in half, with over-easy eggs on each biscuit half and creamy Hollandaise sauce. Topped with a diced tomato ‘n green onion blend. Comes with your choice of two sides. Available all day. Available for a limited time.” I chose the fried apples and the Hash Brown Casserole Tots as sides. Magnificent! The service was great and the staff was very friendly. I live privately and experience amazing unposted fun behind the scenes of this website and my social media. But this experience was so good that I had to talk about it. I highly recommend this delicious meal and experience at Cracker Barrel Country Store. Hurry, because the “Texas-Style Brisket Benny” is only here for a limited time! Bring your loved one and enjoy! Here’s to more summer vacation fun! Cheers!

Outback Restaurant

Well, it is the season for summer fun with friends and family. Today, we dined at an Outback restaurant in North Florida. I tried the loaded potato with bacon, cheese, chives and sour cream. The bone-in ribeye steak was medium well cooked and moist. Beef is not something that I normally eat. But today, it was a treat. The service at this restaurant was friendly, but they were short of help. Our order took over 35 minutes, but it was worth the wait. Check out Outback restaurants for family-friendly fun and a good dining experience.

This bone-in Ribeye steak and loaded potato was delicious!

The croutons were crispy and buttery in this amazing caesar salad.

The blooming onion is still a favorite as an appetizer or even an entree.

Make sure that you try the sweet tea if that’s your thing. It tastes like it’s made in the sun on a country farm. Add a lemon slice and this drink takes it to another level. Magnificent!

Pho Company Noodle House

So, in today’s episode, Princess #2, from Tennessee is helping me to celebrate #springbreak and my #birthday and we had an amazing time experiencing Vietnamese Cuisine at the Pho Company Noodle House. The food is fresh, delicious and flavorful! #food #blogger #lifestyle #health #healthiswealth #vietnamesecuisine

Spend time with loved ones, try new experiences and have fun!

Make Mother’s Day Easier This Year

Happy Mother’s Day to all nurturers of children. You deserve the very best! If there is someone in your life who is still here for you to appreciate for nurturing you, then please take time to appreciate them. Let me share with you ways in which my children helped to make my life so much easier this Mother’s Day, and this was an entire weekend event. I received a delivery at my door. To my surprise, it was a beautiful vase of flowers, a scented candle, a case of purified water and groceries for a gourmet dinner. Salmon, fresh asparagus, caesar salad, Beef Pot Roast w/country vegetables, Southwest style Black Bean & vegetables, and chicken and rice were more than I could ask for. Cashews, Almonds and Pecans were included for snack or cooking. My favorite dessert is Ferrero Rocher Fine Hazel Chocolates, which was also included. I feel so blessed and feel like I have some of the most awesome children in the world. All of them love and look after me very well. They do this all of the time. Tomorrow will follow with more family time, another gourmet dinner and gifts.

As mommies get busier and older, they may not feel like rushing through the “hustle and bustle” to go shopping. If they are raising children or helping to raise grandchildren, this act of kindness is especially appreciated. If you can, drop off their favorite groceries or have it delivered. Thank you! 🙂
Drinking enough water is super healthy. Make it easy on your mom or loved one by dropping off a case of water or have it delivered. Thank you! 🙂

There is nothing like taking the opportunity to wind down and relax. Gifts like this can help to relieve stress and bring peace and calmness to your loved ones. Thank you! 🙂

More shopping bags full of surprises. Thank you! 🙂
My Kids know that this is one of my favorite restaurants. They ordered my favorite meal from here. Thank you! 🙂
Bakechop Gourmet Burgers and Fries. Thank you! 🙂

This is such a heavenly dessert! Thank you! 🙂

We are living it times that can be challenging. Keeping your loved ones safe and in good positive vibes are essential. This year my kids made arrangements to have dinner delivered and to have a gourmet meal with them in their home. I love the cozy and homey feeling of spending time with my family. This is such a wonderful way to enjoy our dinner parties rather than dining in a crowded restaurant. I love dining in restaurants. However, this year, this is what works best for me.

My kids are so wonderful. Thank you my darlings for your love and for the wonderful gifts.

If you have someone who mentored and nurtured you, take time to make a phone call or visit them to tell them how much you appreciate them. Drop off or send a delivery if you can. Make this holiday and future special times like this easier for them this year. If you are that person who has nurtured others, then please know that you are priceless and appreciated. Happy Mother’s Day to you from Notes of Inspiration and the team. You are amazing!

Appetizer Fresh

My daughter, Princess #2 is visiting from Tennessee. She created this decadent appetizer that was super delicious. She sliced a sweet potato thin and placed it in the toaster. After it became crisp, she loaded her fresh herbs, seasonings and veggies. I don’t know her secret recipe, but each bite was a burst of flavor to the taste buds. Some of the ingredients included arugula, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and hummus. Continue to eat healthy and long live you and yours! #PatricePlace
