Let Them Praise
April 4, 2013“Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars. Praise him you highest heavens and you waters about the skies. Let them praise the name of the Lord for he commanded and they were created. Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths, lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding, you mountains and all hills, fruit trees, and all cedars, wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds, kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on the earth, young men and maidens, old men and children. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is about the earth and the heavens.” Psalms 148:3-5,7-13
This division of Psalms is so self explanatory. It is amazing the list of elements that are commanded to praise God in this text. In their own way these are some of the things that give God praise; the sun, moon, stars, rain, ocean, hail, snow, clouds, the wind, birds, creatures, men, children…etc. The list goes on. It just makes one wonder. How do some of us have the nerve to not desire to give God praise?

Be Merciful, Oh Lord
March 8, 2013“Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath. Be merciful to me, Lord, for I am faint, O Lord heal me for my bones are in agony. My soul is in anguish. How long, O Lord, how long? Turn, O Lord, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love.” Psalms 6:1 – 4
Have you ever done something so terrible that forgiveness seemed to be out of the question? Do you ever wonder why God’s favor, presence, anointing and protection is still with you, even though you have sinned? There are times when you may feel helpless and distraught because of the pressures and issues of life. Because of financial, emotional, spiritual and other challenges your soul may become discouraged or remained anguished. But because of God’s unfailing love, he is able to heal us from all that beset us in this life. He will be merciful. He will deliver and save us if we just trust him.

He Will Love It!
February 8, 2013“I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving.” Psalms 69:30
What a pleasure it is to have the opportunity to take time out to spend time with the Lord. Take some time today to show Him just how much you love Him. Sing or hum a tune in his honor. Thank Him and let Him know just how much you appreciate him. Spend time with God today. He will love it!
Praise The One Who Made You
January 22, 2013“Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul. I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.” Psalms 146:1, 2
God in all of his majesty is worthy of all of our praises. Need we say more? He is the true and living God, the great I AM, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the Prince of Peace and he is the Royal Majesty.
I choose to praise the one who made me. He is the potter and I am the clay. It is my choice to allow him to make and mold me into what he wants me to be. The process is long and slow at times. But no matter how long it takes for God to mold me, I am to give him praises continually. I will bless the Lord at all times. His praises shall continually be in my mouth. If no one else ever deserves praise, the one who created me does. Praise the one who made you!
As you have opportunity…
January 21, 2013“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Galatians 6:9-10
Be encouraged today to continue to do good to and toward others. Though it may not always be easy and may get tiresome sometimes, just know that the reward that you will receive is more than worth the effort. Reaping a harvest from blessings others will always come back more than you gave. That in itself is something to get excited about!
Time and Season
January 16, 2013” There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heaven; A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, …” Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8
There is a time and season for everything… eventually.

Praises of Thanksgiving
November 18, 2012“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, his love endures forever.” Psalms 118:1
Today, I will honor the Lord with praises of thanksgiving and gratitude. No complaining. All day only positive things shall come out of my mouth. “I will bless the Lord at all times and his praises shall continually be in my mouth.” (Psalm 34:1) Try this all day and see if you don’t feel better. You will notice that your situation does not feel as intense as before. The atmosphere will change for the better and most of all, God loves it!
