Can you imagine what the world would be like if nobody followed instructions? There would be chaos in the home and at school and on everyone’s job and basically everywhere known to man. Unhappiness would take over the world.  However, if you follow instructions and inhabit wisdom, your life will run a lot smoother. Wisdom brings long life, health and wealth. It keeps you from unnecessary hurt, harm and danger. Instructions cannot be avoided and we will have them for the rest of our lives to eternity. Even God himself has given us instructions (the Ten Commandments) concerning our lives. Follow instructions and watch your life unfold to great success and happiness.

With every fiber of my being I want to bless the Lord O my soul. In his majesty he is the Almighty God who heals and forgives. He redeems my life from destruction and crowns me with his love and kindness and mercies. He is worthy of all of our praises and total devotion and commitment. Can you find one person on this earth who has the power to do all of this for you? No, not one.  So, hail to the one who is King of Kings and Lord of Lords who provides us with benefits, deliverance, blessings, forgiveness, mercies, protection and favor. Hail to the King!

Have you ever met someone who was “stuck up?” The thing that most people don’t like is to have to deal with people who think they are better than others. Boasting and prideful ways can cause one to lose friends after a while. But the word of God promises wealth, honor and life to the one who fears the Lord and who is humble.  Steer clear of people who bring you down and who have attitudes of haughtiness and foolish pride. Continue to walk in the ways of God, in the way of humility and Holy reverence towards Him. Let God show you what He means by promising to bring you the wealth, honor and life that is waiting for you today.

Today’s segment involves the importance of friendships. My sister-in-law, Jewel Tankard had a terrific idea to address topics that concerns us as women and relationships. Take a look at her idea. Elo, is our Teen Writer for Notes of Inspiration. She was also my Literature High student last school year. My daughter, Ellice, is also a staff member of NOI and would donate donuts weekly to my students at the high school from the local donut shop. All of the students thoroughly enjoyed these sweet treats every week and would send thanks to Ellice. Elo is our “over achiever”.  She wanted to go above and beyond. As you can see, she decided to write a personal note of thanks on my chalkboard. She asked us to take a photo and it was sent to Ellice’s phone. Ellice was overjoyed that Elo took the time out to say thanks in this manner. It is the same with all of us in this world as well. Everyone likes to feel appreciated and acknowledged for what they do for others. It is great feeling to know that you made a difference in someone’s life. It is even a better feeling when they show you how much the care and appreciate your efforts. Take time out to show others your appreciation.

Happy Mother’s Day to all who have been mentors, caregivers, nannies, grandparents, stepmothers, aunts, and especially mommies to those who needed motherly love and care. This is your special day! Enjoy!
