Growth

I have found that some people who think they  know me  really do not know me at all. Sometimes my friends complain.  From time to time my friends will say things like, “Patrice, you used to do this and you used to think that.”  I often have to remind them that I am constantly stretching myself in all areas of my life. What my friends may not know is that even if they see me everyday, they may not know me as well as they think. I am growing everyday. I am not the same person that I was 10 years ago. I’m not even the same person I was two months ago. It is so wonderful to take the opportunity to study new concepts, examine different opportunities, meet new people, travel and do other things in the growth process. I love my life and the direction that it is going. Even challenges that I’ve had in years past have taught me to be a more refined woman. I am so happy to be free to continue to explore new avenues. So, when my friends complain about not really knowing who I am anymore, that’s a fantastic thing. That means that they are not able to keep up with the pace of my continuous development.  I cannot always wait on them to catch up and you should not wait on others to catch up with you. Growth is important. Growth is powerful and it is liberating. Take the time to grow.
