So, while I was out and about this weekend, this man walked up to me and said, “Ms. Tankard, you taught me in high school! I am a grown man now and I am 35 years old,” I said, “Wait a minute! If you are 35, what does that make me?” He belted out the biggest roaring laugh. He has finished school, owns his own home and is an entrepreneur. I could not believe that it seem like just yesterday that I was his English teacher at Deland High School years ago. I am super proud of him. I was his favorite teacher. Time flies but people never forget inspiration! #AlwaysInspireOthers #theyneverforget
