Remember What Is Important

Even though elephants are known to have minimal eyesight, they remember faces very well. Through the years, the older elephants in a herd may remember the best feeding and water sources and the sources that have drought while  traveling with other elephants in the forest. The male elephant in a herd may also remember previous conflicts between other animals or even humans that may have happened in the past. Therefore, the memory of elephants serve to prevent future problems and to avoid situations that could be challenging.

In our lives we should treasure good memories and decide what we want to do with memories that are painful. Take time to embrace memories that add value to your life. Learn from memories that make you feel uncomfortable. Share good memories with loved ones and take note of important celebrations in life such as birthdays, anniversaries, great  report cards, graduations and other festivities. By all means remember what’s important.
