“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” Psalms 43: 5
“Those who thirst for God and yearn for a greater manifestation of his presence may experience delay. Yet the faithful believer will continue thirsting for and seeking God. The Lord promises to bless those who hunger and thirst for righteousness rather than settle for less than his full blessing (Matthew5:6) In the midst of God’s silence, we must continue to press on to know God and to experience a greater measure of the Holy Spirit. We must not despair but, put our hope in God and trust in his unfailing love.” (Study Notes NIV)
I choose to put my trust in God who is the hope of my life. I have to admit that God’s timing seems to take so long compared to when I want what has been promised to me, but he knows best and is working it out. My soul becomes tired and weary and does not understand that concept. As my soul waits for the promises and blessings of God I am to continue to give God the praise that he so richly deserves, while also doing his will.
